As a member you get to attend:

Our monthly group meetings with guest speakers from different areas of publishing, writing and promoting your work.

Our Creative Writing Workshops – where we learn and practice the craft of writing and story-telling

The Second Circle poetry workshops – where poets of all genres share their poetry, receive feedback and get to participate in our annual Colours of Life Poetry festival.

You also get a full page on our website where you can showcase your work and link it to your own blog and/or website

All BWC members must agree to:

Attend at least one BWC event every three months, either the monthly meeting or the Creative Writing or Poetry Workshops. You cannot be a member of the BWC yet never attend any BWC event or meeting!

Pay the 10BD annual joining fee. Because of costs of printing membership cards etc, regardless of when you join, all memberships run until 31st Dec of the current year.

Write! You have to either show you are an established writer (by your application form information), or show you want to be a writer by submitting one project to the Creative Writers group or Poetry group at least every three months. This is not for any form of criticism, so don’t worry, but, as mentioned, you cannot be a member of a writers group and not write!

To join the BWC, please request a form by emailing us at: bahrainwriterscirclebwc@yahoo.com

Complete it and bring it with you to the next monthly meeting or workshops, or complete the form below.

Help Wanted!

Bahrain Writers' Circle is divided into three distinct groups. The first is the Writer's Circle itself. The second, surprisingly named The Second Circle, is the poetry section. Finally, we have the Creative Writers' Workshop. They meet on different days.

Now we are considering adding a fourth section; The Junior Circle.

We would like your feedback to gauge the interest in forming this group, to encourage young writers and poets. Please use the contact form to let us know your views.
